The Erie SeaWolves have sent out an email debuting a new MVP ticket plan featuring a ticket package for $35. They look like they are set for some really great games and match ups during the season.

I'm really glad that the Erie SeaWolves are promoting the League's talent that are spending time developing.
Just like the home opener with Jacob Turner, it's somewhat of a historic appearance of Harper in the Erie ballpark. I hope that this could reach out and bring attention to the Eastern League division rivals.

Detroit Tigers Renew Erie SeaWolves

Fantastic news Erie baseball fans! It was just announced that the Erie SeaWolves have been once again renewed as the official AA minor league development team to the Detroit Tigers.

"We are very pleased to make this announcement today," SeaWolves Team President/General Manager John Frey said, "The Tigers have been a big part of the success of the SeaWolves for the past seven seasons and we look forward to continuing that relationship. A big part of the thanks also goes to Casey Wells and the entire ECCCA for their continued improvements to the ballpark and commitment to the club."

The Erie SeaWolves have continued to be a mainstay in the Erie community as well as the surrounding cities. In my opinion, the city continues to support the team with their hard earned dollar and have had the privilege to see many major league players come through the development system.

Breast Fest 2010 in Jerry Uht Park

The Erie SeaWolves have a festival in support of a foundation called "Linked By Pink" for breast cancer awareness.

BrestFest is a music event with ALL ticket proceeds benefiting Linked by Pink - raising awareness of young breast cancer.

It's an all afternoon and evening affair with the gates to the Jerry Uht Park opening at 3pm and features a music band marathon concert featuring such acts as:

* 60 Inch Slick
* Rattlebox
* Kristen and the Cosmodauts
* Thirst 'N Howl

The Bands names are pretty clever and I am sure the festival will be a real production to not only help Erie, PA residents and visitors enjoy the beautiful weather this time of year.

SeaWolves Featured in Video Games

Finally, every minor league baseball fan's dream has become a reality as the latest edition of MLB The Show 08 has included not only all updated MLB stars, but they have also included every AAA and AA team as well.

This means that for Erie SeaWolves and Eastern League fans, you can now play ball with most all EL franchises in their correct and up to date uniforms. The SeaWolves roster has many unknown players, perhaps that way they don't guess wrong who is going to make the club this year. You can send up or down any player through the farm system from AAA Toledo. Brent Clevelan is the only fully recognizable Erie player. However, many past Erie players such as Granderson, Zumaya, and Verlander are in the game with Detroit. Each player is fully customizable and abilities can be adjusted.
